Manga Recommendation of the Week – Doubt

September 24, 2012 - Leave a Response

My manga recommendation for this week is the mystery+horror+psychological thriller: Doubt.

Doubt

I still remember this manga like I read it yesterday. In reality that was years ago. That is how awesome this manga is. It sticks in your mind and never leaves like a parasite. Eversince I first read it, I’ve reread it maybe twice already. The first time because I’ve forgotten who was the killer. The third time just to observe the graphics.

The manga is by Tonogai Yoshiki and concludes after 4 volumes — just enough to quench your thirst. I haven’t stopped recommending it to people I know, though, after my brother first read it he said that the plot was predictable… hmm… I don’t know about that.

Well, that’s it for my recommendation today. Get this manga in your local bookstore or order online now! Support one of my fave mangaka’s. Teehee XD

3rd Home Radio 106.7 Cosplay Competition

September 20, 2012 - Leave a Response

Last Saturday — September 15, 2012 — I packed my bag and got ready to go to Talisay City in order to attend and compete in Home Radio’s 3rd Cosplay Competition. I really love going to new places! And cosplay really enables, or rather, compels me to go to these places that I’ve never been before!

Previously, we had planned to compete in the competition with our FMP skit (that we gave during Hobcon ’12) but we couldn’t trim the skit down to 5 minutes (the limit for this competition’s group category) and so the challenge was brought to me and Ciejie’s plate to compete using our Super StreetFighter IV Chun-Li vs. Sakura Kasugano skit. So we practiced on and off for one week and guess what — it still wasn’t enough! Hahaha. Well, I guess, that’s the thing with skits incorporating action scenes, if you want a believable one then you gotta prepare yourself for sudden adlibs.

After we gave our performance, we felt super anxious for the results. We committed so many mistakes! Truthfully, we were prepared to lose but unbelievably we won! We were jumping gleefully onstage when the results were announced! I couldn’t be more grateful to the judges!

Next up is Cosplaymania 2012 in Manila. That’s next week already! The excitement is building up! Hehehe. I’ll be cosplaying with the whole Oversoul gang and this’ll be our first out-of-town two-nights out adventure! What’ll happen? We don’t know yet. Hehehe.

And so I bid farewell for now… Adieu adieu! But before that I leave you with a picture of me as Sakura Kasugano taken by cosplay photographer Maki Kazagami. :-*

Our Latest Funshoot / Cosplay Shoot

September 11, 2012 - Leave a Response

Last Sunday, we had another group pictorial. (Hooray for weekly cosplay photoshoots!! ^^). Our main purpose was really for promoting our groupmate’s (Akemi’s) otaku shop’s newest merchandise – Kyut bags! And when I say cute, I definitely mean uber cute!! But before shooting the merchandise, we finished shooting some shots for our entry for Cosplay Mania’s 4koma contest. It was really a struggle! I was the one who was nearest to the camera and so I was pushed to force more on facial expressions… Unfortunately.. the end picture still showed a face still lacking of emotions *sigh*. Now moving on the the products shoot… I took the opportunity so that my Miaka Yuuki school uniform costume could be shot properly. Teeheehee.. 😛 And then I changed to a casual outfit to feature another bag and also a Kyut cap. We also had a video shoot focusing on the bags set on a cute love story, of which, I by some twist was included as an antagonist! Hahaha! You better watch out for this one (It’s still in the editing process). Meanwhile, imma leave you with my favorite shot from the shoot, and links to the full album as well as my friend’s virtual shop. ^^ Ja ne~

My Latest Cosplay Shoot – Full Metal Panic!

September 4, 2012 - Leave a Response

I’ve always wanted to pose like this XDD

Hi everyone! Last sunday my groupmates and I gathered to have an exclusive Oversoul-members-only cosplay shoot. This means that even our photographer was an oversoul member – our highly esteemed mastermind – Onigiri Wasabi a.k.a Kuya Arve.

I don’t really feel like typing much content today, perhaps because I’ve ranted so much in my other blog just a little while ago. So I’ll just leave you with some links that you can check out for more pictures. Thank you!
